Ad Fatigue
The drop in performance that happens when an audience sees the same ad so often that it stops responding to it.
Definition
Ad fatigue is the decline in an ad's effectiveness over time as the same people see it again and again. Engagement and click-through tend to fall while the cost of results rises, because the creative is no longer novel to the audience.
Why it matters
Fatigue is one of the main reasons a winning ad stops winning. Rising frequency, falling CTR, and climbing CPA are common signs. The usual remedy is a steady supply of fresh creative to rotate in before performance erodes.
How it applies to UGC ads
Beating fatigue means producing new variants faster than your audience tires of the old ones — which is hard with a creator-shoot-per-video workflow. This is a core reason teams use UGCABC: generating fresh hooks, scripts, and avatars quickly to keep the rotation full.
